Chaplin Is "For The Ages"

Monsieur Verdoux - 1947

These as 2 of my favorite scenes in this film.

The top one is Charlie looking at the diamonds his “wife” has bought and then telling her “It’s glass - you silly ass”.
The bottom - Verdoux is on the phone trying to seduce a Madame Grosnay a slightly older woman but is looking at the girl in the flower shop for a little inspiration, this appears to be the same flower shop that was used for City Lights.

So not the little tramp!
