I love the second photo when the bully tells Charlie:
“If your kid beats my brother, then I’m going to beat you.”
When a wash cloth isn’t handy you use the next best thing (handkerchief moistened with spit):)
It’s funny how the tramps idea of grooming the child is, checking his ears, checking his neck, checking his nose and checking his hair for head lice:)
He did the best he could and really loved the boy.
Humbly stating this:
THIS IS MY 5000th POST SINCE JOINING TUMBLR 11 MONTHS AGO..to commerate this I am paying homage to my very favorite Charlie Chaplin film. This is film that hooked me and catapulted me onto my “Chaplin Adulation”, an oft quote from my husband “You’re lucky this guy is dead or I’d be pissed”, he is just joking he indulges me:)
Some pictures on the set of The Kid.
I like the picture of Charlie sitting talking to little Jackie, he has his tramp costume but no mustache.
I remember seeing an interview that a 63 year old Jackie Coogan gave, he said that the glue that Charlie used for his mustache (spirit glue) had an a weird smell to it but he always knew when he smelled that it was time for work. Such a talented little boy.
